Mallorca 312 Training Academy

Why I started the Mallorca 312 Academy

Before I go into detail as to why I started the Mallorca 312 Academy I had better explain what it is first for those who don’t know.

What is the Mallorca 312 Academy?

Train in a virtual group environment with others towards the same goal of the Mallorca 312!

The Mallorca 312 Academy gives you all the exact training sessions needed to achieve the Mallorca 312. It also gives you the knowledge and confidence to take on the challenge. The sessions are all planned out in advance to give you the structure needed. This will allow you the flexibility to complete them at a time that suits you.

Going through the plan in the community environment will ensure that you stay motivated throughout. It is a great place to ask questions and make friends. With the support of the Ride Harder head coach and the group, you will be held accountable and committed to completing the plan and thus completing the event.

Why I started the Mallorca 312 Academy

With a love of cycling abroad and always seeking new cycling challenges, I stumbled across the Mallorca 312 event back in 2018 and was hooked. I have to say this is the most amazing cycling event that I have ever taken part in. 8,000 riders on fully closed roads in Mallorca, what else could you want!

The event has some tough climbs with stunning views but I believe is achievable with a reasonable level of fitness. Only making the first cut off by 4 mins on my first attempt I then went back the following year was 45 minutes faster!

I am passionate about sharing the delights of this event and helping others take on the challenge through training, advice and support hence starting the Mallorca 312 Training Academy. It is built on some of the methods that I adopted within the successful Ride Harder Academy but making it event specific.

Through my own personal development and coaching others, I have learned a massive amount about what works and more importantly what does not. I have included it all with the plan saving you valuable time, energy and stress! This removes the decision fatigue and many hours of planning what workout to do. It is all laid out for you so you can just get on with the training sessions.

How can I join?

My cycling career started in 2005 when I purchased my first road bike and I was immediately hooked. Since then I have completed numerous cycling challenges including Ironman, Lands’ End to John O Groats, Mt Ventoux (all 3 ascents), London to Paris, the BBAR challenge which included a 12hour TimeTrial and more recently the Mallorca 312.
