Andy Collins
Andy runs his own Triathlon Coaching business Tri4fitness and joined the Academy in Autumn 2020.
Ok, I was not sure what to expect and been competing in triathlon and Gran Fondo cycling events for over ten years so I would say experience as an athlete. I was first introduced to James through the 312 sportive Facebook group and straight away he came across knowledgeable and I like his tips and support within the group.
So when I started the academy his sessions were set perfectly for my ability and gradual progression meant I kept accountable throughout the week. Having a group for support helps and to share the pain, wins and bad days with everyone helps.
I love Ride Harder’s training method and find James quite an inspiring coach.
It’s very strange for me being coached as I am used to coaching others, the only other coach was a swim coach when I did triathlon and they are not a patch on James and what he has created within the Ride Harder Academy.
Overall if you are looking for the complete package then I would not look any further than the Ride harder coaching team.
How has the academy improved your cycling or life in general?
To be honest, in terms of sessions I have done before and set myself. It’s the extra mile of always been on hand and attention to detail with the whole package from S&C, Nutrition, NLP and James calm approach to coaching
So what have I learnt?
I have learnt how to plan, be more disciplined, understand how power is used and improved mentally and physically.
Totally would recommend it to anyone wanting to advance their cycling performance but remember you get the rewards based on your hard work!
