Mallorca 312 entry

How to Sell or Buy a Mallorca 312 Entry: The Official Marketplace Explained

You can only sell or buy a Mallorca 312 entry through the official Marketplace. For the 2027 event it is open from 1 December 2026 to 31 March 2027. A registered rider who can no longer take part lists their place, another rider buys it through the platform, and the seller gets their money back minus a fee that rises the later they leave it. Selling privately, or riding on someone else's number, is not allowed.

This question comes up every week in the Mallorca 312 Facebook groups, usually from someone who is injured, ill or has had plans change. Here is how it actually works, straight from the event's own conditions.

Key points

  • The Marketplace is the only way to sell a Mallorca 312 entry.
  • It runs from 1 December 2026 to 31 March 2027.
  • The seller is refunded the registration cost minus 20%, 30% or 40%, depending on when they sell.
  • The buyer and seller deal with each other through the official platform.
  • Swapping bibs outside the Marketplace is not permitted, and entries are strictly personal.
  • The Marketplace is not the same as the waitlist.

Can you sell a Mallorca 312 ticket?

Yes, but only through the official Marketplace. The event's conditions say registrations are "strictly personal and non-transferable" and that the Marketplace "shall be the only means through which a registration may be put up for sale."

So you cannot put your place up on Facebook, take a bank transfer from a mate and hand over your details. If your plans change, the Marketplace is your route to getting some of your money back.

When does the Mallorca 312 Marketplace open?

For the 2027 event, the Marketplace is open from 1 December 2026 to 31 March 2027. Outside those dates there is no official way to sell your place.

How much do you get back if you sell your entry?

You are refunded the registration cost minus a management fee, paid back to the card you originally paid with. The fee depends on when you sell:

When you sell Fee deducted
1 December to 1 January 20% of the registration cost
2 January to 28 February 30% of the registration cost
1 March to 31 March 40% of the registration cost

The message is simple: if you know you cannot ride, list it early. Leaving it until March costs you twice as much as listing it in December.

How do you sell your Mallorca 312 entry?

  1. Wait for the Marketplace to open on 1 December.
  2. Go to the Marketplace through the official Mallorca 312 website.
  3. List your registration as available.
  4. Another rider buys it through the platform. The transaction happens between the two of you, through the official system.
  5. Your refund is processed to the card you paid with, minus the fee for that date.

Your place only sells if someone buys it, so listing early also gives it longer to find a buyer.

How do you buy a Mallorca 312 entry on the Marketplace?

From 1 December, places listed by riders who can no longer go appear on the official Marketplace. You buy through the platform, and the entry is registered properly in your name. The seller's fee comes out of their refund.

Places come up through the winter as injuries, work and family get in the way, so it is worth checking back regularly rather than looking once and giving up.

Can you transfer your Mallorca 312 entry to a friend?

Not directly. Entries are personal and the conditions say "the substitution of one participant by another is not permitted." If you want a particular friend to have your place, the official route is still the Marketplace.

Why not just ride on someone else's number?

Because it is not allowed, and it is a bad idea on the day. A rider on someone else's number risks disqualification, has no insurance, and is not timed, on a closed-road event with cut-offs. If something goes wrong at 180km, the person in the system is not you. It is not worth it to save a few euros.

What is the difference between the Marketplace and the waitlist?

They are two separate processes, and the organisers have confirmed this to me directly.

Waitlist Marketplace
Run by The organisers Riders, through the official platform
Where places come from Justified cancellations Registered riders selling their entry
How you get a place You are emailed if a place comes up You buy a listed place
When From sell-out onwards 1 December 2026 to 31 March 2027
Cost to join Free You pay for the entry you buy

If you missed out, do both. Being on the waitlist does not stop you buying on the Marketplace, and the waitlist does work: it is how I got my own 2027 place two weeks after sale day. More on every route in Missed Out on a Mallorca 312 Entry? How to Still Ride in 2027.

What if you just registered and changed your mind?

The conditions give you 14 calendar days after registering to withdraw without giving a reason, with the registration fee refunded. For anyone who entered on sale day, that window has passed, which leaves the Marketplace as the way to get money back.

Still want to ride but cannot find a place?

Tour operators hold their own entries and sell them as packages with accommodation and transfers. Mellow Jersey, the operator I guide for, still has a few places for 2027. Ask for Emma and mention Ride Harder when you book, and she will look after you. See Mellow Jersey's Mallorca 312 packages.

Frequently asked questions

Yes, but only through the official Marketplace, which for the 2027 event runs from 1 December 2026 to 31 March 2027. Private sales and bib swaps are not permitted.

When does the Mallorca 312 Marketplace open?

1 December 2026, and it closes on 31 March 2027.

How much do I lose if I sell my Mallorca 312 entry?

A management fee of 20% of the registration cost from 1 December to 1 January, 30% from 2 January to 28 February, and 40% from 1 to 31 March. The rest is refunded to the card you paid with.

Can I give my Mallorca 312 place to a friend?

Not directly. Entries are personal and substitutions are not permitted. The official route is the Marketplace.

Is the Mallorca 312 Marketplace the same as the waitlist?

No. The waitlist is run by the organisers to fill places from justified cancellations. The Marketplace is where registered riders sell their entry to another rider.

No. It risks disqualification, and you would be riding uninsured and untimed.
